LeBron James brought the city of Cleveland joy the likes of which it hadn’t felt in decades when he led the Cavaliers to their first NBA championship in 2016. LeBron orchestrated the greatest comeback in league history in the process, and he fulfilled his promise to win them a championship.

After losing in the Finals the following two seasons, LeBron would depart from the Cavs once again as he joined the Lakers, and while he reached the pinnacle once again by winning it all in 2020, things have got really rough in the last couple of years. That led to murmurs of LeBron leaving the Lakers in 2023 as a free agent, and with the Cavaliers boasting a promising young core, it led to some wondering if a reunion could be on the cards. WWE superstar Miz, who is from Ohio, is definitely hoping for that to be the case.

“I can say with all due respect and from the bottom of my heart, I would love LeBron to come to Cleveland because when Cleveland Cavaliers, the Cleveland Browns or the Cleveland Guardians are a good team, it brings the entire city up. It brings our whole vibe up, like Los Angeles it doesn’t do that. It’s Lakers and Clippers and Dodgers, it’s so many teams.”

“Cleveland is such a big but small city, that an impactful player like LeBron James coming to that youth of the Cleveland Cavaliers can take them to the next level. By the way, your son’s coming to the NBA, and don’t you want him to start where you start and then take him to the promised land? Let’s bring Bronny a championship in Cleveland like you did, LeBron. We want you. We need you. Please, come to Cleveland, and just bring us another championship.”

LeBron going back to Cleveland once again would be great, but it doesn’t seem all that likely, as all signs point to him signing an extension with the Lakers. The King, as well as his family, are now settled in LA, and uprooting at this point wouldn’t be ideal.

So, a reunion doesn’t seem to be on the cards, but at least they’ll have the memories from that stunning triumph in 2016 with them for eternity.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
