NBA Rumors: Kawhi Leonard Is The Only Untouchable Player On The Clippers This Offseason

1 Min Read

When Doc Rivers and the Clippers parted ways earlier this week, it only confirmed what we all already knew: changes are coming for L.A.’s shadow franchise.

With talent, depth, and aspirations heading into this campaign, somebody had to pay for the epic failure that ensued in the playoffs. While Doc may be the first domino to fall, he certainly won’t be the last. In fact, nobody on the Clippers (besides 2x Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard) is safe.

“I think Leonard is the only untouchable on the roster,” Jovan Buha of The Athletic wrote. “George is close to untouchable, but I think the Clippers would move him for the right package – and, obviously, if that was Leonard’s preferred outcome.”

Seemingly all season long, the team left a sour taste that nobody could quite figure out. Subtle incidents throughout the regular season and concerning lapses on the court during games should have been a sign of things to come.

And now, as they watch their biggest rivals compete for the crown, they face major uncertainty regarding the road ahead. It will be a challenging offseason for this team, to say the least.
