Stephen Curry tends to ignore online trolls who bash his wife, Ayesha Curry, but he wasn’t going to look the other way when rapper Killer Mike joined in on the act. Stephen told Mike to stay in his lane when he seemed to agree with controversial content creator BooWoodz’s comments about Ayesha.

“Naaaaa not you Mike,” Curry wrote. “I’m cool stating silent and letting these other clowns have they’re moment! And you’re the worst of them [BooWoodz]. But you’re better than that [Killer Mike]. Stay in your lane and let God keep blessing me like he is. We r good over here.”

BooWoodz has had a lot to say about Ayesha, and almost none of it is positive. Here are the comments he made that Mike and Stephen reacted to.

“I don’t know if anybody else noticed this, but Ayesha Curry is putting in maximum effort to let the world know that she is struggling with trying not to cheat on her husband,” BooWoodz said. “She can just smell an opportunity to embarrass this man because she gets on every interview telling everybody about just how frustrated she is with his success.

“How frustrated she is that women desire him,” BooWoodz continued. “How much she wished it was her being lusted after by people who don’t give a f*** about her, how desperately she wants to get attention from other men, how locked down she feels with the kids.

“Every f***ing interview she goes on, she unwarrantedly forces us to listen to her vent about her not wanting to be with her husband,” BooWoodz added. “She wants to go be GloRilla or some s***. We get it, bro. Just go drop a album or some s***. Stop embarrassing this man. This s*** is getting pathetic.”

This Instagram clip went viral and came to Mike’s attention. He found the GloRilla remark to be particularly hilarious and commented that the Golden State Warriors superstar deserves better.

“My n***a said she wanna go be Glo!!!” Mike wrote. “Man Steph doesn’t deserve the embarrassment frfr. God Bless him.”

Mike appeared to delete his comment after Stephen replied to him, but what goes on the internet stays on the internet. The Shaderoom captured this interaction between them.

It’s unclear what exactly Ayesha did recently to get put on blast by BooWoodz. She was spotted with Drake in Milan and had faced criticism from some corners for her choice of attire. That might be what led to this clip.

As for the interviews that he was referring to, a lot of the hate that gets directed towards Ayesha stems from her comments on the Red Table Talk show back in 2019.

“Something that really bothers me, and honestly has given me a sense of a little bit of an insecurity, is the fact that yeah, there are all these women throwing themselves [at Stephen], but me, like the past 10 years, I don’t have any of that,” Ayesha said. “I have zero, this sounds weird, but like male attention, and so then I begin to internalize it, and I’m like, ‘Is something wrong with me?’… I don’t want it, but it’d be nice to know that someone’s looking.”

Ayesha later told Business Insider that her comments were edited to make her sound crazy, but the damage was done. Whatever the outside world may say, though, Stephen has her back.

Ayesha and Stephen first met each other in their early teenage years when they were part of the same church group in Charlotte. They started dating when he was at Davidson College and eventually got married on July 30, 2011. The couple now has four children: Riley, Ryan, Canon, and Caius.
