Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry are one of the most popular couples in the NBA World. The two stars have been together for over a decade, and they have risen to the top of their industries. Stephen and Ayesha are now proud parents of three children.

One of the most heartwarming aspects of his journey is the story of how he met his wife, Ayesha. In a recent interview with WIRED, Curry revealed the story of meeting his wife for the first time:

“I met Ayesha, junior year of high school, at our church youth group. So we didn’t go to the same high school. Didn’t really date, we’re in the same circle of friends and then dated like about three or four years later, and the rest is history. “

Despite knowing each other from a very young age, the pair didn’t officially start dating for a few years. After initially meeting at a church youth group during their childhood, their paths crossed again in 2008 when Stephen Curry was in Los Angeles for the ESPYs. Ayesha, who had moved to LA for modeling and acting, was not initially interested in dating athletes, as she believed they could be arrogant.

But this changed quickly after their first date. Ayesha quickly realized that her preconceived notions about athletes, especially Stephen, were wrong. He was funny, silly, and the complete opposite of what she had expected. The couple would go on to date for a few years before finally tying the knot in 2011.

Ayesha Curry’s Ascent To The Top

While Stephen Curry’s rise has been pretty well documented, Ayesha has also made quite a name for herself. She has carved out her own identity as a successful entrepreneur, chef, author, and television personality.

In 2016, she published her first cookbook titled “The Seasoned Life: Food, Family, Faith, and the Joy of Eating Well.” The cookbook was well-received and became a New York Times bestseller. She also has her own cooking show, a reality show hosted by Stephen, and she also co-founded a restaurant chain as well.

Whilst doing all this, Ayesha is often seen courtside, donning her husband’s jersey and cheering him and the Warriors on. Just like his wife, Stephen reciprocates the favor by cheering on Ayesha during her ventures.
