When Kyrie Irving is on the court, he is definitely one of the best point guards in the entire NBA. He has the shiftiest handle in the league and often comes up with dribble combinations on the fly. Currently, Kyrie Irving is putting up 23.8 PPG, 4.8 RPG, and 5.4 APG on the season while shooting 36.8% from beyond the arc.

While it is obvious that the Brooklyn Nets are a fantastic team when Kyrie Irving does play, his availability is limited by his part-time status. Due to New York City’s laws regarding individuals unvaccinated for COVID-19, Kyrie Irving is only allowed to play road games.

Brooklyn Nets GM Sean Marks has recently shared that Kyrie Irving is “frustrated” about the fact that he can’t “be there” for both home and away games. It is understandable that he is frustrated about his inability to help his team.

Sean Marks says “Kyrie is frustrated that he’s not able to be there” for both home and road games.

It remains to be seen if Kyrie Irving will take action to ensure his availability in the future. The Brooklyn Nets are definitely a really good team even with Kyrie Irving playing part-time, especially with the latest additions of Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, and Andre Drummond. However, it is tough to see them getting it done against other contenders like the Milwaukee Bucks and the Philadelphia 76ers if Kyrie Irving is a part-time player.

Perhaps we’ll get to see more of Kyrie Irving on the court in the future. There is no question that he is a box office player, and many fans love to watch him due to his flashy playstyle. There is no doubt that Kyrie Irving is a difference-maker for the Nets, and his championship experience is clearly valuable. It is clear that the Brooklyn Nets want to win a championship, and Kyrie Irving’s ability to suit up will be crucial for their chances.
