Nick Wright Says He Feels Bad For JJ Redick After Being Attacked By Jerry West: “JJ Redick, Awesome College Player, Really Good Pro Player And Jerry West Is Like, ‘Man, You Were Trash, Bro. What Games Did You Impact?'”

Jerry West recently had a big response to JJ Redick criticizing Bob Cousy’s competition from many years ago. The recently retired sharpshooter said that Cousy played against plumbers and firemen, which makes his accomplishments less memorable than others.

Of course, every time a player criticized the old generation, the stars from those years are quick to reply, and recently, the Logo sent a big message to Redick, totally diminishing his career and bringing him down for not impacting games.

This back and forth earned a lot of reactions around the league, with many people expressing their opinion on this heated situation. Nick Wright recently chimed in on this, revealing he feels bad for Redick after being attacked by the Los Angeles Lakers legend. During a recent edition of his “What’s Wright” show (via Sportskeeda), the controversial analyst had this to say:

“This is where JJ is gotta be so frustrated and all the, like, mid-level NBA guys got to be frustrated,” Wright said. “You know who Jerry West can never take a shot at whose career he can never take a shot at? Me. Because I didn’t have one. I can call anybody anything. Yeah, guess what? Look up my career points per game. Ain’t gonna find it.”

“You know what my shooting percentage is? Perfect zero-for-zero. it doesn’t matter. … Meanwhile, JJ Redick, awesome college player, really good pro player and Jerry West is like, ‘Man, you were trash, bro. What games did you impact?’ So, I kind of feel for JJ.”

Whenever somebody compares eras and tries to put the modern-day NBA over the prior ones, vintage players tend to attack those claims. West isn’t the exception, and he was never the type of person to hide his opinion on something. He was ready to shoot and did it mercilessly, attacking Redick’s career and blasting him for his claims. This is why you shouldn’t compare eras, because things will never get settled, especially with old players trying to defend their era against anybody and using whatever strategy they want.
