Nikola Jokic Broke Four Records With Game-7 Triple-Double

2 Min Read

Nikola Jokic is quickly climbing the ladder as one of the best big men in the past couple of decades. He’s already the greatest passing center in the history of the game and continues to make history with the Denver Nuggets in the NBA playoffs.

His heroic performance in Game 7 vs. the Los Angeles Clippers made him write not one, not two, not three, but four records.

Jokic had 16 points, 22 rebounds, and 13 assists on his team’s 104-89 win, becoming the first player to ever record 2+ triple-doubles in Game 7 in NBA history, as per StatMuse:

If that wasn’t enough, he became the first player to record a triple-double in a Game 7 through just three quarters in the play-by-play era, according to SportsCenter:

To make it even more impressive and add yet another record to his résumé, Jokic became the first player to record a triple-double with 15+ rebounds (regular season and playoffs) through three quarters:

And last, but not least, the Joker will always go down as the first player in NBA playoffs history to grab 20+ rebounds in a Game 7 triple-double, according to NBA Stats:

Obviously, none of these records will matter if the Nuggets don’t get the job done vs. the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals but that doesn’t make it less impressive.
