Nikola Jokic Is The Only Player In NBA History To Lead His Team In Every Single Category

Bleacher Report

The Denver Nuggets may be struggling right now, but their star, Nikola Jokic, is playing some of the best basketball of his career right now.

The 3x All-Star, who turns 27 in February, is averaging 25.1 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game on 59% shooting this season, some of the best marks of his 6-year career.

More impressively is the fact that he’s literally leading his team in every single statistical category so far this season, which no player has ever done.

Jokic leads the Nuggets in ppg, apg, rpg, spg, bpg, 3PM, 3P%, FGM, FG%, FTM, FT%…the only player in HISTORY to lead his team in every single category!

And of course leads the whole NBA in ALL advanced stats. His Current PER of 34.7 would smash the All Time record.

MVP-like performances are nothing new for the Joker. Over the years, he has established himself as a true superstar and the face of the Nuggets organization.

He has made quite an impression on both the fans and his own teammates…

“I’ve never seen anything like him. Just the way he — he’s just a weird dude. Before the game, he’s on his phone playing games. I think he started taking his health more seriously, but like before that, I heard that before the season, he just goes back, drinks beer, rides horses, and then tries to get in shape a couple of weeks before the season starts. He’s just naturally amazing.”

It’s too early to tell whether or not Jokic’s historic pace is maintainable. It literally hasn’t been done before.

But we do know that not many are more equipped to pull it off than him. As a prime leader, scorer, rebounder, and playmaker, he’s got everything in his bag.

We’ll see soon enough what he’s able to do this season.
