There is no moment in the NBA as exciting as when a player throws down a massive dunk in the flow of the game. These moves and posters are the ultimate highlights, and the players that do it regularly are held in high regard. Paul George has been known to throw down some epic ones in his time, and he recently shared his list of the best in-game dunkers in the league at the moment.

“Today, Ja, you gotta put Ja,” Paul George said on his podcast. “Ja might be probably the best in-game dunker today just cuz of how small he is. He light, he bodying, he 360-ing on fast breaks, just going crazy. Donovan Mitchell crazy in-game dunker. He just got one against Brooklyn, right?

“Who else we got? Imma go Zach LaVine. Nasty. Disrespectful. Giannis, it’s crazy some of the finishes he does. I watch a game thinking, ‘No way he’s dunking that.’ And then he dunk it. It doesn’t look right. Like, ‘Damn, am I playing on the same size court?”

Paul George ended his Top 5 by giving a shoutout to his teammate, saying, “Kawhi. Kawhi’s a sleeper. He surprise you because his hands is so big… In terms of his dunking, cuz his hands are so big, you’re not going to block his shot.”

That’s a pretty good list, although there are players like Aaron Gordon and Zion Williamson that might have a thing or two to say about the list. Still, George included a lot of the best in the league for sure, even leaving himself out, although he’s had some pretty crazy dunks recently.

Ja Morant Has The Most Highlight Dunks This Season

While all those other players have a good case for being in the Top 5, Ja Morant arguably stands above everyone else this season. He had an insane dunk against Jalen Smith of the Indiana Pacers, which drew reactions from the likes of Kevin Durant

He also managed to dunk on Jakob Poeltl viciously, even talking smack to him after the game was over. Ja Morant is definitely in a league by himself when it comes to dunking during games.

Paul George knows what he’s talking about when it comes to these things, he is an authority on in-game dunks. And while he may not be able to throw down too many just yet, fans will be hoping to see him return in time for the playoffs and maybe put on a big show.
