Making it to the NBA is an honor only a handful of people in history have achieved. It’s notoriously difficult to make it to the league and there are things beyond just talent that factor into it. Hard work, natural athletic ability, and some luck with injuries are all required for a player to make it to the league. And then beyond that, becoming a superstar star in the league is something that even fewer can manage.

Michael Jordan stands at the pinnacle of achievement in the NBA as the GOAT. His accolades are arguably greater than anyone else’s. However, even the notoriously competitive MJ has explained that his brother Larry might just have been a better player than Mike was. Standing at 5’8″, Larry making it to the NBA would have been quite a story, but his height stopped him from making it to the league.

His skills weren’t in doubt, though. A video recently went viral of Larry playing against MJ and showing off some skills that left fans in no doubt about his prowess.

“His brother inherited everything but the height.”

“MJ literally said that if his brother was taller it woulda been him.”

“Bro had HOPS.”

“Didn’t Jordan start playing basketball because of his brother as well?”

“Wow he was so good.”

“They needa test that whole family, no cap.”

“Of course he had crazy hops.”

“Same movement bro.”

“That first shot was clean as f**k.”

“This was way too good, man.”

“I see where MJ learnt all that sauce man.”

It’s always difficult to speak in ifs and buts, but Larry Jordan had the skills necessary to be an elite baller. While Michael will go down in history for everything that he achieved, he will likely always look up to his brother and the competition he had with him growing up. It definitely had an impact on making MJ as great as he became.
