Reggie Miller To Fan Saying Players Are Ring Chasing: “Perhaps, But You And Many Others Are The Same People Who Kill Guys For Being Loyal And Ringless, Can’t Have It Both Ways… Go Get Dat Jewelry.”

Superteams are a big topic around the NBA these days. Everybody has an opinion on this, including former players. One would think that Reggie Miller would be against these teams, but it’s the opposite. The Indiana Pacers legend is actually enjoying all the moves during the offseason, especially from the Los Angeles Lakers.

After spending 18 years in the league trying to win a championship, Miller retired ringless, mocked by young fans. Those fans are the ones who bash players for teaming up with other stars to create superteams.

Well, the sharpshooter isn’t against that idea, contrary to what most people might think, and he showed that in an interesting interaction with a fan. Reggie claimed this upcoming season would be fun for the Los Angeles Lakers after adding Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony.

This didn’t sit well with some fans, who said they were just ring chasing. Miller called out fans for mocking loyal players after not winning championships while bashing others for ring chasing.

“Perhaps, but you’re and many others are the same people who kill guys for being loyal and ringless, can’t have it both ways.. Go get dat jewelry..”

After Giannis Antetokounmpo stayed with the Milwaukee Bucks last season, fans were happy to see a loyal player winning a title. Yet, this doesn’t change the fact that stars will try to link up with others to have an easier path to the championship.

Superteams won’t disappear regardless of how much fans hate them. That’s a fact. You can argue that it hurts the competition and everything you want, but this will continue to happen in the future.

Miller never left the Pacers to ring chase and retired without a championship. If he played in today’s era, he would have done the same Ray Allen did in 2013, joining the Miami Heat Big 3 to win a second NBA championship.
