Former NFL star-turned-sports analyst Shannon Sharpe believes Scotty Pippen Jr. must leave the Los Angeles Lakers after the team acquired Malik Beasley, who once dated Pippen’s mother, Larsa.

Speaking on a recent episode of ‘Undisputed’, Sharpe told co-host Skip Bayless that if he was Pippen, he would ask for a trade. “Malik Beasley coming on my team, I gotta go! I will fight it!” he said, urging the young star to shift bases.

Beasley’s arrival in LA had fans sharing their two cents about his team-up with Pippen Jr. already. Beasley and Larsa stayed together for around six months after they began dating between late 2020 to April 2021. She was 46, while the guard was 24 at the time.

Beasley was one of the Lakers’ new acquisitions ahead of the trade deadline alongside Rui Hachimura, D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Mo Bamba.

Shaquille O’Neal Trolls Scotty Pippen Jr., Explains How Malik Beasley Can Trash-Talk Him Using Larsa

Trust Shaquille O’Neal to not back down from speaking his mind, even if he does mean it in jest. Although his thoughts on the whole Pippen-Beasley situation won’t win him any fans from either of the players or Larsa.

Speaking on ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq’, the former Lakers legend had a hilarious, but nasty comment on how Beasley could trash-talk the youngster.

“You know what would be messed up?” Shaq began. “If they started playing one-on-one and [Malik Beasley] hit a jumper in [Pippen Jr’s] face and go ‘Yo momma.’”

It’s certainly not a great comment for either Pippen or Larsen to hear, but such has been the nature of the move and their history that Shaq just had to share his thoughts on the situation.

The son of former Chicago Bulls legend, Scottie Pippen had made it clear on social media that wanted nothing to do between Beasley and Larsa’s relationship back then. For now, there appears to be no bad blood between the two in the Lakers’ locker room. Only time will tell if it does remain that way.
