Jayson Tatum gave his Boston Celtics an incredible win on Saturday night, sinking a terrific 3-pointer in the last seconds of the game, beating the Philadelphia 76ers.

After the game, the superstar revealed he predicted the big shot to one of his teammates.

“Coming out of the timeout, I told Grant (Williams) ‘it’s game. it’s game time. We’re going home,’” Tatum said, via Celtics Blog. “I knew it had been a tough night. It was perfect story, right? Tie game, five seconds left. I hadn’t been shooting well. Come through for the guys when we needed it most.”

This was an incredible game from start to finish, and we could have seen more of that if Joel Embiid’s shot an insane half-court shot a little earlier. He made that shot, but it didn’t count, ending the Sixers’ hopes to beat the Celtics for the first time this season.

Tatum didn’t have the best night, posting 18 points, but grabbing 16 rebounds and dishing 6 assists in the C’s’ 110-107 win at Wells Fargo Center. Boston remains atop the East with a 44-17 record, while the Sixers still rank 3rd, boasting a 39-20 record.

Jaylen Brown Called Out Sixers Fans After Thrilling Win

This game was very exciting on the court, and it also had some action in the stands. Celtics players didn’t have the best time with Sixers fans. Marcus Smart had an unknown issue with them, and a group of fans was ejected from the arena.

Jaylen Brown called them out for being disrespectful and wishing bad things to the Celtics, and using some concerning language against the C’s.

“I started talking to one of the fans who got a little bit excessive where it got a little disrespectful. Even before the game, we were entering the arena there’s people saying, ‘I hope you tear your ACL.’ and I understand people care and they love the team that they cheer for, but it gets a bit excessive at times.”

In the end, the Celtics had the last laugh, winning a hard-fought game as visitors, holding onto that 1st seed in the East and showing why they are considered the best team in the NBA this season.
