Shannon Sharpe Says Lakers Should Trade LeBron James For Kyrie Irving: “LeBron And KD. It’s Over. It’d Be Over.”

The Los Angeles Lakers have several questions to answer this offseason, including what to do with their Big 3 of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook. This trio couldn’t make things work and even though they still have faith to make things happen, not everybody believes that staying together is the best idea.

A lot has been said about these three and who would be the one leaving the organization this summer. While some say that Westbrook is that person, others have suggested that getting rid of Anthony Davis or LeBron James isn’t as crazy as many think.

LeBron’s name has taken more relevance in recent days, as people have decided to find the best landing spot for the King. First, some said the Miami Heat would benefit from having the player back, but the Floridians aren’t the only one on the East Coast that could get the 4x NBA champion.

Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless discussed this situation in a recent edition of FS1’s Undisputed. Both analysts dropped ideas of what the Lakers should do. While Skip said that one of LeBron and Davis would be traded for Kyrie, Shannon picked the King to team up with Kevin Durant (6:39).

Bayless: “They’re thinking about trading for kyrie with what? Are you going to trade LeBron for Kyrie or AD for Kyrie? Because it’s going to be one or the other.”

Sharpe: “Okay, do that. I like LeBron in Brooklyn. LeBron and KD. It’s over. It’d be over.”

Bayless: “Well maybe they should do that. Trade them straight up.”

After many years battling it out on the court, LeBron and Durant could team up if their respective teams are daring enough to complete this trade. James has expressed his desire to stay in Los Angeles, but anything can happen in the NBA. Still, it seems like Westbrook and Davis are the ones getting shopped this offseason

LBJ and KD together would be madness, even if they aren’t in their prime. If they were great on their own, imagine all the damage they could do together. Well, this is an unlikely possibility right now, but a lot can happen from now until the start of the next season.
