The Milwaukee Bucks are just one win away from reaching the 2022 Eastern Conference Finals. The reigning champions have played amazingly throughout the regular season and have continued to play at that level in the postseason as well. Although the entire team has worked hard to help the franchise reach this level, the majority of the credit goes to none other than the two-time NBA MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Most fans recognize ‘The Greek Freak’ as one of the best players in the league. But they are somewhat hesitant about accepting him as the best player in the NBA. Previously, people made the argument that he didn’t have an NBA title under his belt, which changed last season.

This time around, most believed that he wouldn’t be able to carry the Bucks against the Boston Celtics without his teammate Khris Middleton. Once again, he’s proving his haters wrong.

In Game 5 of the series against the Celtics, Antetokounmpo completely took the game over and dominated the Celtics almost single-handedly. Upon seeing this breathtaking performance from Giannis, NBA analyst Shannon Sharpe went to Twitter to urge everyone to accept Antetokounmpo as the best player in the NBA.

“Enough is enough. Y’all need to stop being disrespectful to Giannis and give his title as best player in the NBA. Bck2Bck MVPs, finals MVP and All star gm MVP in the last 4 seasons. Should be more than enough for him to hold the title.”

Over the last few years, Giannis has climbed the ladder in the league. He went from being a good player to becoming one of the best, to now possibly dominating the league for years to come.

However, most people still don’t consider him as the best player in the NBA. No disrespect to the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry, but it seems abundantly clear that the title of best player has changed hands. If Giannis can lead the Bucks to another championship this year as well, it will solidify his legacy in the league no matter what anyone else has to say against it.
