Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most popular talking heads in sports television at the moment. It is safe to say, though, that it isn’t hard-hitting analysis or deep insights into various players in the league that has made O’Neal such a hit among NBA fans.
Shaq is incredibly funny on television, and his chemistry with Charles Barkley, in particular, has helped elevate both of them to greater heights. With his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers, trading for Rui Hachimura recently, the move was being discussed on Inside The NBA, when Shaq admitted he had no idea who Hachimura was.
"If you ain't a top 10 player, I don't know who you are… I'm not watching the Bullets or the Wizards."

“Let me clarify, Albert Einstein said things you can get access to you should never memorize. If you ain’t a top 10 player, I don’t know who you are, that’s no disrespect. How am I supposed to know who the kid was?”
“I’ve never seen this kid play… I wish him well, I hope they do well but I didn’t know who he was I’m sorry… I’m not watching the Bullets or the Wizards. I’m not watching them.”
We got the whole Shaquille O’Neal experience there, going from quoting Albert Einstein to saying he doesn’t watch Wizards games. Hachimura now gets a chance to really make a name for himself on the Lakers, and he’ll be keen to make a splash.
Rob Pelinka Spoke On What It Would Take For Them To Trade Their First-Round Picks
Trading for Hachimura has been viewed as a pretty good move by the Lakers. They didn’t have to give up a lot for him, and it is really a low-risk, high-reward move, as they also retained their 2 first-round picks.
It means the Lakers can still potentially pull off a big trade and GM Rob Pelinka said they’re not done making moves. He also added, though, that they are being careful with those first-round picks as they don’t want to pull the trigger early and then miss out on a better championship move that might be available later on.
