NBA legend Shawn Kemp isn’t going through a good moment right now, as the former Seattle Supersonics star was arrested for firing a gun at somebody on Wednesday.

Kemp made the headlines on Wednesday after his arrest, but a recent report suggests that the former big man was acting in self-defense when he fired a gun.

“Sources close to Kemp told FOX 13‘s David Rose that he had property stolen from his car on Tuesday, tracked his iPhone to Tacoma on Wednesday, and when he approached the vehicle, a suspect shot at him. He fired back in self-defense.”

This gives a new perspective on what could have happened with Kemp during that encounter. Some reports claimed that he started an argument with somebody he knew, then tempers flared, and the big man fired his gun.

Of course, this remains unconfirmed, but it can give you an idea of what could have happened to the former player, who currently owns a cannabis business.

Shocking Video Shows The Moment Shawn Kemp Fires His Gun At Somebody

Amid all the controversy surrounding Ja Morant and his alleged gun on Instagram Live, the last thing NBA fans wanted to see was a former player actually pulling the trigger to hurt somebody. However, it seems like there’s more to this story that we still don’t know.

Kemp was caught on video shouting something at somebody before he fired a shot in a short but incredible clip.

The former player was taken into custody on Wednesday, and everybody is waiting for a resolution to this situation. Kemp has had issues with the law before, but he made sure to go clean and stop messing around. He’s now a businessman but is clear that he won’t let anybody do whatever they want with him.

It’s good to know that Shawn is safe, and we hope that his property gets returned to him if that’s what actually happened.
