Jayson Tatum is one of the best superstars in the league today. He led the Boston Celtics to the 2022 NBA Finals, and Tatum has also been instrumental in the team being 21-7 on the season and 1st in the Eastern Conference. Currently, Jayson Tatum is averaging 29.7 PPG, 8.0 RPG, and 4.0 APG.

There is no doubt that many believe that Jayson Tatum is a fantastic player, but he has recently been criticized by some analysts after he had some subpar performances against the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers.

One of the analysts that have criticized Jayson Tatum has been Skip Bayless. In a recent episode of Undisputed, Skip Bayless claimed that Jayson Tatum doesn’t have an “it factor”.

“He’s so supremely gifted in so many ways… When it comes to superstardom in the NBA, there is some ‘It factor’ and killer will…. A very few guys have it. Some guys just don’t have it. I’m not sure Jayson Tatum has it. In some ways he’s almost too nice of a guy.”

There is no doubt that this is some unfair criticism, as Jayson Tatum has shown his killer will and clutch ability in the past. He has averaged 24.4 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 5.4 APG in those games, with a record of 4-1. It is fair to say that he generally performs well in high-stakes situations.

Jayson Tatum Is Focused On Winning A Championship

Jayson Tatum’s production has been fantastic this year, and there’s no doubt that he is in MVP talks right now. In fact, fellow superstar Luka Doncic previously claimed that he’s a “top candidate for MVP” while adding that he “already is” the face of the league.

Luka Dončić on competing against Jayson Tatum: “It’s always special, He’s an amazing player, top candidate for MVP. He’s shown that’s he’s not the future face of the league, he already is and he’s an amazing player. Always fun to play with those kind of guys.”

There’s no doubt that Jayson Tatum’ has been one of the top 10 players in the league this year, and his ascension has been a joy to watch for fans and other players alike. There’s a good chance that he will be the MVP this year if he keeps up his performances and continues to lead the Boston Celtics to more wins.

The ultimate goal this year for the Boston Celtics and Jayson Tatum this year is a championship. They lost to the Golden State Warriors in 2022, and their performance this year suggests that they’re eager to get back to the highest stage and win it all.
