We’ve seen many players put up good regular season numbers, but have no team success in the playoffs. With Giannis Antetokounmpo signing an extension to remain with the Milwaukee Bucks, the Bucks will hope that this is the year they get to the Finals.
An ESPN analyst, Skip Bayless, recently expressed his doubts about Giannis Antetokounmpo in the playoffs. It is warranted, considering the Milwaukee Bucks were slated to make the Finals but lost to the Miami Heat in the second round instead.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s big issue is that he is dominant but he simply hasn’t shown it in the biggest moment. He is easily one of the best players in the world, but despite getting two MVPs, he still hasn’t lead his team to the Finals. Giannis Antetokounmpo is good at driving the ball inside, but he could also diversify his skill set. In the recent game against the Warriors, there were some signs of a developing post-up game, though how consistent it’ll be remains to be seen.
If Giannis Antetokounmpo can bring his team to the Finals then he can finally get rid of all the criticism that has been levied at him. He has two other stars that can take up the load, and Jrue Holiday is also known as a clutch player and one of the best two-way guards in the league. Giannis Antetokounmpo could absolutely make the Finals and if Antetokounmpo performs well, then perhaps these analysts will change their tune.
