The Los Angeles Lakers suffered yet another upset loss at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Despite the performance of Russell Westbrook, where he looked especially solid from the three-point line, the Lakers ended up blowing yet another lead in the second half.
At one point, the Lakers led by 19. But despite them performing well on the offensive end, their defense let them down once again. This loss was yet another indicator of the problems they face, despite having a whole new cast of players who can contribute to their team.
The Lakers now have lost 2 of their 4 games to the Thunder for the season. Given the fact that the Thunder are clearly a team in rebuild mode, the Lakers should not be losing to them at all. They have championship aspirations, whereas the Thunder is one of the most inexperienced teams in the league.
Skip Bayless took to Twitter to roast the Lakers after they blew yet another lead to the inexperienced Thunder. He noted that they looked like the Los Angeles ‘Fakers’ against OKC. But surprisingly, he did give Russell Westbrook some credit for making his three-pointers at a modest rate.
Lakers play more like Fakers once again vs 1-6 OKC. Allow a 19-pt lead to dwindle to just 4 at half. In the closing seconds, Anthony Davis hurt his shooting hand (his thumb, I think). But WestBROOK did make 2-3 threes.

Bayless could not go after LeBron James, who is out with a minor injury right now. But that doesn’t mean that he cannot go after the Lakers for their loss. Without a doubt, the Lakers’ upset loss will be a hot topic on ‘Undisputed’ this morning.
The Lakers disappointed their fans, as they lost to a Thunder team that is actually nowhere near the level they are. Clearly, there is a lot of frustration. But it is still early in the season, they can’t afford to lose momentum, and the season is a long stretch until the playoffs.
