The 2022-23 NBA season is all set to begin in a month, and it means it’s time for the debates about who are the best players to enter the NBA ahead of the new season have already started.

Media powerhouses such as ESPN have started releasing their list of top 100 NBA players. After ESPN, CBS Sports has also released its list of the top 100 NBA players.

On the list, CBS ranked LeBron James out of the top 5 players in the league. He was ranked number seven by them, and it caused a lot of stir on social media. While some believed the ranking was correct, others pointed out it was unfair to LeBron. After all, James had a great 2021-22 NBA season.

Skip Bayless Is Furious LeBron James Is Ranked Above Kawhi Leonard

If there’s any news about the Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, there’s no way that NBA analyst Skip Bayless can keep his opinion to himself.

He has been known as a hater of James throughout his career, and it hasn’t changed even when LBJ is entering the 20th NBA season of his career. In a recent video, Bayless pointed out that he wanted the Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard to be ranked above LBJ in the CBS Sports rankings.

“This guy named Kawhi will be back and he’s ranked eighth and he should be at least seven. I saw him carrying the Clippers towards the finals, if he had stayed healthy, if Joe Ingles hadn’t bumped him. LeBron should be eighth. You should be relieved that LeBron is as high as 7 on this list. LeBron led the Fakers to a 33-49 record and they missed the Play-In Tournament. Missed the Play-In? With LeBron James on your team? How do you do that?

Skip believes the reason why James should be ranked below Leonard is that he couldn’t even lead the Lakers to the play-in tournament last season.

While it was true that the Lakers had a disappointing last season, it wasn’t entirely James’ fault. If anything, he was the only bright thing about the Lakers’ abysmal campaign.
