The Utah Jazz’s front office keeps dismantling the roster, and now another veteran has found a different team in the league after many years of attempts to compete in the Western Conference without any success. Following the blockbuster deals for Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, the team wanted to get rid of other veterans, and one of their shooters is now gone.

Danny Ainge has done a solid job bringing in draft picks and young talent to the team, getting the most in return for their players. That’s how we arrived at today, learning about the trade of Bojan Bogdanovic, a sought-after shooter that was linked with a couple of teams over the summer.

Bogdanovic, who represented Croatia in the 2022 EuroBasket tournament, has been traded to the Detroit Pistons, another rebuilding team in the league.

Utah Jazz Are Trading Bojan Bogdanovic To Detroit Pistons

Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that the Jazz sent the veteran player to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for two players: Kelly Olynyk and Saben Lee.

The Pistons are sending Kelly Olynyk and Saben Lee to the Jazz for Bojan Bogdanovic, sources tell me and @JLEdwardsIII.

This is an odd trade considering the teams involved, where the Jazz are sending Bogdanovic, and what they’re getting in return. Danny Ainge knows how to do business, though, and perhaps this won’t be the last move the team makes.

Bogdanovic was linked with a move to the Los Angeles Lakers, but that’s not likely right now. The Californians are focused on starting the next season with their current roster, and Bogdanovic isn’t part of their plans.

As for the Jazz, they still have veterans like Mike Conley, Jordan Clarkson, and Malik Beasley that need to be moved. This won’t be the last trade we see from this team, but fans hope to get more in return than they got for Bojan.
