Steph Curry On Luka Doncic: “He’s Always Under Control. He’s Tough To Defend. Who Knows How High The Ceiling Is For Him.”

Stephen Curry has been amazing the basketball community for years now. However, he continues to find a way to leave us in awe every now and then, even after all he’s done throughout his career.

Last night wasn’t the exception to that rule, as the two-time MVP put on a scoring clinic, torching the Dallas Mavericks for 57 points to go along with 2 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 11 three-pointers.

However, that wasn’t enough to lift his side past the Mavericks, as Luka Doncic scored 41 points with 11 assists, 7 rebounds, 1 steal, and 7 triples to lead his team to a 134-132 win. Needless to say, that kind of performance was impressive even by his standards, so Steph had no choice but to take his hat off to him:

“He’s always under control. He’s tough to defend … he’s just very polished and he’s shown that since his rookie year and he’s gotten better and who knows how high the ceiling is for him. But he’s playing at a very elite level right now,” Curry said, as quoted by ESPN’s Nick Friedell.

Curry is right. Even though Doncic has played like a veteran since the very first day he made it to the league, he continues to make strides and improve as an overall player as the days go by.

This season, he’s averaging 27.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, 9.5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game on 44.8% from the floor and he’s just getting started.

Doncic at 21 years old already looks like a once-in-a-lifetime kind of player, so it’s not a surprise to see a living legend like Stephen Curry showering him in praise like that.
