In the 2021-22 NBA season, Stephen Curry has once again proved why he is one of the best players of our generation. After failing to even qualify for the postseason in the last two seasons, the Warriors made a stunning comeback this season.

They finished the regular season with a good record and carried their amazing form to the playoffs. Thanks to the heroics of Stephen Curry, the Warriors qualified for the 2022 NBA Finals pretty easily, stomping their opponents at every step of the way.

Now in the finals, the Dubs hold a 3-2 lead over the Boston Celtics. Curry has been playing very well in the finals as well, apart from just one game. In Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Steph struggled a lot and ended up with just 16 points to his name.

Anyway, despite Curry’s underwhelming performance, the other stars of the Warriors picked up the slack and helped the Dubs win the game pretty comfortably, to be honest.

But seeing Curry’s stats in Game 5, many Boston Celtics fans are claiming that their team has finally figured out the game of Steph. Well, that seems highly unlikely, and NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith made sure to make this point very clear in a recent episode of First Take.

“What the hell do you mean ‘figured him out?’ One game because he missed, all of a sudden they figured him out? That is just idiotic.”

“Steph Curry was 0-for-9 last night from 3-point range, I counted at least four 3-point shots where he was wide open. He just missed, it happens. He’s the greatest shooter God has ever created. I’ve never seen anybody shoot the basketball like him. He’s entitled. It happens, OK? I’m not worried about that at all.

We came into last night’s game fresh off a 43-point performance by Steph Curry in Game 4 on 14-of-26 shooting–7-of-14 from 3-point range, averaging 34 [points] on 50 percent shooting from the field and 49 percent shooting from 3-point range. What the hell do you mean figured him out? One game, because he missed? All of a sudden they figured him out? That is just idiotic. For anybody who would think that, it’s idiotic.”

Smith didn’t hold back one bit when calling out the people who believe that the Celtics have already figured out Stephen Curry.

In all honesty, it feels like Curry just had a poor game. After all, he is also a human and even the greatest shooter of all-time is due for a bad game once in a blue moon, right?
