Stephen Curry And Chris Paul Break The Silence Over Steph’s Sick Crossover In 2015

Chris Paul is one of the greatest point guards to ever set foot on an NBA hardwood. However, he’s not getting the respect he deserves anymore, mostly because of the younger point guards that have taken his spot as the best playmaker in the league over the last couple of seasons.

And one of the names that always comes to mind in that conversation is Stephen Curry, especially since he completely embarrassed Paul in the 2015 playoffs, making him slip and dropping him with a mean crossover.

Let’s take into consideration that Chris Paul is one of the best backcourt defenders in the league. He’s pesky, crafty, aggressive and has great instincts, as you could tell by his 9 All-Defensive teams and the fact that he’s led the league in steals six times.

That’s one of the things that made Curry’s crossover even more legendary, as nobody had ever exposed Paul that way throughout his career. To some fans, it was the breaking point and the moment when Paul passed him the torch as the best point guard in the NBA.

Thus, when Paul and Curry teamed up on an Instagram live session, obviously everybody wanted them to address that situation. We all know CP3 is a competitive guy who doesn’t like being challenged, but he didn’t hesitate to make an exception this time:

“Listen… He got me. He got me,” Paul said.

“The funniest part is how many times we’ve all been dropped. You’ve dropped me at least 3 times, I got you that one time in LA,” Curry replied.

Everybody who’s ever played basketball has been embarrassed at least once. It’s just basketball, that’s the way it goes. We’re talking about Stephen Curry, one of the greatest offensive talents in the history of the game and with one of the best handles we’ve ever seen, so it’s not like Paul was dropped by some end-of-the-bench average joe. It’s a nice memory and a great highlight, for sure, but it’s time to move on, folks.
