The Golden State Warriors just rebounded from a Game 1 loss against the Boston Celtics with an emphatic win in Game 2. Game 1 was marked by the Warriors blowing a big lead to an extremely hot-shooting night from Boston, who romped their way to a 12-point win. Game 2 saw the Warriors take a lead and hold on to it after a dominant third quarter gave them the win.
The series is even heading into Game 3 at the TD Garden in Boston where the Warriors will expect to regain the home-court advantage they lost in Game 1. Draymond Green needing to step up after a poor showing in the first game was what the Warriors needed.
Steph Curry spoke about Draymond Green’s struggles and poor sections of performance prior to Game 2 and brushed away all the concerns people have because everyone on this team, including Draymond, knows exactly what it takes to win championships.

I know he takes all the stuff personally in terms of his standard and what he knows he can do out there on the floor. Curry’s point was proven after Draymond was vital to the Warriors’ Game 2 blowout of the Celtics. While Green doesn’t stuff the stat sheet, he was the one controlling the tempo on defense and he passed a historic milestone in terms of assists.
Draymond needs to make a more active contribution in scoring the ball when the Warriors are struggling, but everything else that he does is indelible to the success of this team and Curry recognizes that.
