Stephen Curry is widely viewed as the best shooter ever because he’s broken all kinds of 3PT records during his career. However, there is one milestone that he is yet to pass, though he is close to doing so.

Ray Allen currently holds the all-time 3PT made record, having made 2973 3PT shots over the course of his career. Stephen Curry is currently 16 3PT attempts from surpassing it, with his total 3PT made after his recent outing against the Orlando Magic bringing him to 2958.

Stephen Curry will have an opportunity to surpass that record during the Warriors’ matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers, by scoring 16 3PT shots in a game. He would have an opportunity to break both Ray Allen’s record, and another record held by his teammate Klay Thompson, which is making 14 3PT shots in a single game.

After his recent game against the Orlando Magic, Stephen Curry was asked about potentially breaking these two records. Curry claimed that he knew the situation, and it’s obvious that he is aware of all the record-breaking talk. However, he has stated that it won’

I know the situation… Always just play the game, and obviously I know I’m closing in. But try not to let it creep into how you play, just enjoy the journey to get there cause it does mean a lot to me.

Anything is possible. What is it 15? That’s funny cause I know what that means with Klay’s record and all that too. We will see. If you seen the way I’ve played, especially recently, I’m not shy about shooting the ball. The game will dictate what that looks like. I’m not coming off with that as a true goal of like how I play. But crazier things have happened.

If Stephen Curry manages to break those two records in the same game, that will forever be a moment that is remembered by many. However, what is important is winning the game, and it’s likely that will be Stephen Curry’s priority.

The Golden State Warriors have been on a roll, currently at 20-4 after their recent game. We’ll see how well the team does in the future but they’re the best team in the league and still want to get better. They are one of the contenders this year, and perhaps we’ll see them lift another championship this year.
