Stephen Curry On The Warriors’ Season: “I Think We’ve Been Average.”

2 Min Read

The Golden State Warriors are currently 19-16. While that is still a positive record, that is a far cry from them being championship contenders a few years ago. They are currently the 8th seed in the Western Conference and look to be in the fight for a playoff spot. They’ve been inconsistent throughout the season, and they have a lot of work to do if they want to make some noise in the playoffs.

When asked about the Warriors’ season recently, Stephen Curry didn’t sugarcoat anything. Curry simply stated that the team has been fairly average. While average doesn’t necessarily mean bad, a team with an MVP candidate in Stephen Curry should not be languishing in the 8th seed.

At this point in the season, it looks like the Golden State Warriors will be a lower playoff seed. Stephen Curry knows that they will not be competing for the title this season. However, they have a solid defensive team, despite their recent loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. They have also beaten the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this season. If they can become consistent, then they will be better than the seeding suggests.

While the Golden State Warriors have been fairly average to start the season, they’ve still got a lot of games that can help them get better. They have won 3 out of their last 4 games. While the team itself is average, no team is out of any game with Stephen Curry.
