Before the beginning of the 2021-22 NBA season, not many people believed in the Golden State Warriors. Since the 2019 NBA Finals, the Dubs were in a tough spot. Be it injuries or KD leaving the team, the fact was that the rest of the league genuinely believed that the Warriors might never reach another NBA Finals.

Well, the Dubs have proved their doubters wrong this season. First, by finishing third in the regular season ahead of teams like the Mavericks, Jazz, and Lakers. When the postseason began, the Warriors shifted into another gear.

They utterly dominated every opponent they faced and, as a result, reached the Western Conference Finals. The franchise continued its winning ways even against the Luka Doncic led Dallas Mavericks.

Stephen Curry and co. finished the series in just five games with the final score of the series standing at 4-1. As a result, the Warriors have advanced to their sixth NBA Finals in the last eight years, truly astounding.

Following the incredible feat, Stephen Curry shared his thoughts on once again qualifying to compete in the biggest stage in the league.

“This is a blessing. Obviously, it’s a team effort to get back, what Draymond said for us. Be optimistic the last two years, and be back where belong, back in the Finals. This is special, our fanbase, to do it in this new building. Everything about it is special. We know this isn’t the ultimate goal, but we know we gotta celebrate this because of all we went through the last two years.”

Of course, Curry and the rest of the team deserve to be happy right now. A huge reason for that is the struggles that they went through the last two years. But at the same time, they need to make sure that they don’t let their hunger to win another ring die.

The job is not finished yet and they still need to continue this incredible form in the 2022 NBA Finals. Stephen Curry won the first-ever Western Conference Finals MVP award, but can the Warriors lift another championship this season? Well, we will find that out very soon.
