This series between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies has been hard-fought and physical, but it seems as though it is nearing its conclusion. The Golden State Warriors are up 3-1, and they could potentially close out the series in Game 5. The Memphis Grizzlies will be without Ja Morant as well, and it is difficult to see them winning Game 5, even if it is on their home court in Memphis.

Ahead of Game 5, Stephen Curry was asked about the Warriors’ game plan going into a potential closeout game. Stephen Curry decided to roast the Grizzlies, claiming that the Warriors’ game plan is to “whoop that trick”. “Whoop that trick” is the name of a song that the Memphis Grizzlies play after wins, and it is clear that Stephen Curry was just having a bit of fun and throwing some banter towards the Grizzlies before the game.

“Whoop that trick”. That is our gameplan.

The Golden State Warriors should, in theory, be able to close this game out and move on to the Western Conference Finals. They will face the Dallas Mavericks or the Phoenix Suns if they get there, and neither team will be an easy matchup.

The Memphis Grizzlies are a team that won’t go away quietly though, even if they are without their superstar. They were 20-5 without Ja Morant this regular season, and they are a gritty defensive team that can thrive in a slow-paced environment. The biggest key for them will be finding some offensive contributions from everyone on their roster without Ja Morant being present. They are an athletic team that thrives in the paint, and it will be key for them to continue attacking the rim throughout the entire game.

Though the Memphis Grizzlies may lose this series, it is important to remember that their future is bright with Ja Morant at the helm, and the Grizzlies will likely be contenders for years to come. As for the Golden State Warriors, they have a genuine chance of winning the championship this year, and we’ll see if they are able to do so. Some are extremely confident about their chances, and they definitely have the talent to be the last team standing.
