  • Stephen Curry has played with and against some of the greatest players ever
  • Curry chose Shaquille O’Neal as the player he wished he could have played with
  • He then named Michael Jordan as the one he wished he could have played against

Stephen Curry has had a phenomenal career with the Golden State Warriors, winning four championships, a Finals MVP, and two MVPs. He hasn’t been able to achieve all of that by himself, of course, as he has been fortunate enough to play with great players.

Curry has also gone up against some all-time greats in the process, like LeBron James, but there are so many whom he missed out on facing. The nine-time All-Star was recently asked to pick a player he wished he could play with and one he could play against, and he went with Shaquille O’Neal and Michael Jordan respectively.

(starts at 0:48 mark):

“Probably (Shaquille O’Neal),” Curry said about who he wished he could play with. “Just to see that dominance up close in person.”

“Michael (Jordan),” Curry replied on the player he wished he could play against.

Curry and O’Neal on the same team would have been a sight to behold. The former’s game is all about finesse while the latter’s was all about brute force, but despite the big difference, the result was the same, they dominated. Shaq ended his career with four titles, three Finals MVPs, and an MVP. He and Curry together would have been a force to be reckoned with.

Curry facing off against Jordan would have been something special too. It would have been fascinating to see what strategy Jordan would have come up with to deal with Curry’s insane shooting, as he never faced anything quite like it. You’d back the Chicago Bulls icon to come out on top, but it would have been very interesting nonetheless.

Shaquille O’Neal Believes He And Stephen Curry Would Be An Unbeatable Duo

O’Neal is a huge fan of Curry’s, even going as far as to call him his favorite player in the NBA today. O’Neal is amazed that someone of Curry’s size can dominate against men who are much bigger than him and admits he is a bit jealous that he can’t shoot like Steph.

Shaq also recently picked Curry among a group that also included LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, and Kevin Durant to form the best duo with him. He stated that Steph is his favorite player and added they won’t lose to anybody ever. If only we could have ever seen these two in action together in their prime.
