Steve Kerr On Golden State Warriors vs. Memphis Grizzlies Matchup: “In Effect, Tomorrow Is A Playoff Game.”

The Golden State Warriors’ last regular-season game will have massive implications for the team when it comes to the postseason. Their next matchup is against the Memphis Grizzlies, with both teams tied with a 38-33 record. Their next game will determine which team has an easier path to the playoffs, as the winner will get the 8th seed, which in turn would mean that they may only need to win one game in order to secure their spot in the postseason.

Given the importance of the game, Warriors starters Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins were all out for their recent matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans. The extra rest and recovery will certainly help them during their face-off against the Memphis Grizzlies, who are led by rising star Ja Morant. Warriors’ coach Steve Kerr has commented on the game and reiterated its importance, calling it a playoff game:

Steve Kerr: "In effect, tomorrow is a playoff game."

Steve Kerr isn’t mistaken on how important the game is, as winning two games is obviously more difficult than winning one game. Obviously, you should try to win all of your games, but this one will be of the utmost importance.

Even though it is an important game, when you have Stephen Curry on your team, you know that you always have a good chance of winning. Stephen Curry is a bona fide superstar, and his offensive firepower is absolutely immense. In terms of a player that can absolutely go off in a single game, there is no one that can do it quite like Stephen Curry.
