The NBA is filled with some intense storylines every season. While players and coaches generally respect one another as professionals, tensions can rise and lead to serious disagreements and clashes between individuals. Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers have been the main story on this front in the 2021-22 season, but another has been brewing silently behind the scenes in Devin Booker’s beef with team mascots.

In the early days of January, Booker had a bit of an altercation with the Toronto Raptors mascot, who he claimed was distracting him while he attempted his free throws. The mascot was asked to walk away, with fans roasting Booker for making this happen and Booker himself addressing the situation after the game. And now it seems the Chicago Bulls mascot, Benny the Bull, has gotten himself involved in the situation.

The Suns narrowly beat the Bulls on Monday night behind an inspired performance from Booker, who dropped 38 points on 60% shooting from the field. Booker was incredible on the night, so much that Benny the Bull hilariously seemed like he wanted to distract the Suns shooting guard as he was taking some free throws. The drama was taken to the next level by the stadium security, who seemed to be dragging the mascot away from Booker as a joke.

The game also saw another bizarre moment as the Bulls mascot could be seen facing off with another person in a dinosaur costume. It seemed like Benny the Bull had quite the eventful night as his team narrowly lost to Phoenix.

Booker doesn’t seem to be that affected by these ongoing and admittedly hilarious feuds, his Suns team are rolling through the league at the moment. The win against the Bulls has taken their record to 43-10 and they are comfortably the best regular-season team in the NBA this season. The Bulls are now a game and a half behind the Miami Heat in the race for the first seed and need to tough it out as they wait for key players to return from injury.
