The Miami Heat Believe Tyler Herro Can Be Better Than Devin Booker

It’s pretty clear that the Miami Heat have something special going on right now. No one gave him credit or thought of them as more than a dark horse to make the Eastern Conference Finals, yet they proved that they can compete at the highest level despite their youth.

That’s why the Heat are likely going to be quite aggressive in the offseason in their pursuit of another star. Needless to say, that means that they’ll have to part ways with some of their young assets to land a top-tier player in a trade.

However, Dan Le Batard recently reported that the Miami Heat won’t consider including Tyler Herro on a potential trade package, as the organization is truly high on him and believe that he can be a better player than Phoenix Suns’ star Devin Booker.

That assessment may not be that far-fetched at all. Like Booker, Herro proved to have a feel for knocking down huge shots, especially in the clutch. He also proved to be an NBA-ready scorer that can knock down shots efficiently from all three levels.

Herro’s teammates have lauded his work ethic and determination to improve and be better since the start of his rookie season and there’s no reason to think that he can’t be an All-Star next season.

That’s why is not surprising to see Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra determined to hold on to their young sharpshooter going forward. He’s got the potential to be one of the deadliest, most dominant scorers in the NBA just a couple of years from now, and his shooting is much-needed next to Jimmy Butler. So don’t even bother calling, the Heat won’t let you have him.
