The 2023 NBA All-Star Reserves were announced on Thursday, and some notable names failed to make the cut, but should they all be pooled into a list together, the outfit forms a real powerhouse.
Fan-favorite names James Harden, Jimmy Butler, De’Aaron Fox, and Trae Young were some of the players who didn’t make the reserves much to the chagrin of former and current stars, and the fans who expressed their displeasure about the voting.
Soon after the announcement of the reserves, a tweet compiling the All-Star snub team did the rounds, and safe to say, those who have seen the list will know that the team is fully capable of being a uber-competitive side.

Apart from the aforementioned names, the list also comprised Anthony Davis, Pascal Siakam, Jalen Brunson, and Anthony Edwards, all of whom have had some stellar numbers and performances to make their All-Star case.
Here’s a quick look at the numbers these players are propping up this season:
Trae Young: 27 points, 2.9 rebounds, 9,9 assists
Anthony Edwards: 24.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists
Jimmy Butler: 21.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.9 assists
Pascal Siakam: 24.9 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 6.2 assists
Anthony Davis: 26.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks
James Harden: 21.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 11.0 assists
De’Aaron Fox: 24.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists
Jalen Brunson: 22.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 6.2 assists
The snub list just shows the breakneck competition in the modern-day league. However, some of these names surely would have been considered before the final reserves were named.
NBA Fans React To The All-Star Snub Team
While James Harden and Jimmy Butler not making the cut comes as a shocker, some fans also felt the likes of Devin Booker and Davis not making the reserves was a poor decision.
Some segments felt the snubbed roster was way more competitive than the ones already picked. Ahead of jumping into what the fans had to say, here’s a quick look at the reserves.
2022-23 NBA East All-Star reserves: Joel Embiid, Jaylen Brown, Bam Adebayo, Julius Randle, DeMar DeRozan, Jrue Holiday, Tyrese Haliburton.
2022-23 NBA West All-Star reserves: Ja Morant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Damian Lillard, Jaren Jackson Jr., Domantas Sabonis, Lauri Markkanen, Paul George.
