LeBron James lived a historical moment on Tuesday night, becoming the NBA’s all-time scoring leader after making a terrific fadeaway over his defender, Kenrich Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder, to seal the deal for him.

As the clock ran down in the 3rd quarter, LeBron took the ball and tried to get to his spot. Once he made it, he jumped and got the buckets, sending everybody into a frenzy. Everybody wanted to be in attendance for this big night, including many celebrities.

Other legends like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar were there, as he gave LeBron the ball of his points, simulating the pass of the torch. Among all these people, there was somebody who knows James since he was pretty young and who saw him develop into one of the best players in NBA history.

Only One Person Didn’t Pull Out Their Cellphone To Record LeBron James’ Record-Breaking Shot

Phil Knight, co-founder and chairman emeritus of Nike, was also in attendance for the big game, sitting behind the rim where LeBron got his record-breaking points. Something curious about Knight’s presence there was that unlike the rest of the fans, he didn’t have the cell phone in his hands.

While everybody was filming, Knight stayed there and just smiled as LeBron hit the shot that gave him the two points that broke Kareem’s record.

Of course, Knight is one of the most important figures in the NBA world, as he created the most important brand in the league. He was behind the signing of Michael Jordan with the company, as well as LeBron, who has been a part of it since he was a teenager.

Now, Knight watched how that little kid who had a promising future grew up to become a legend of the game and one of the best to ever do it. This was a great night for everybody, and we’re sure that Mr. Knight had a blast seeing one of his ‘pupils’ made it.
