The Perfect Plan Of The New York Knicks: The Super Team And Zion Williamson

The New York Knicks haven’t been relevant in years and truth to be told, they’re nowhere near being a legit threat in the Eastern Conference this season either with that kind of roster.

  • 1. Superteam

It looks like they can finally turn their luck around after years of missing the playoffs, as next summer looks like the perfect opportunity to bring a lot of talent to the Madison Square Garden.

So, if things work out as the Knicks are reportedly planning, they could have NBA’s next summer team way sooner than expected. Let’s go ahead and break down the perfect scenario for them.

4. Tanking

Frank-Ntilikina

This one is a huge no-brainer. The Knicks have absolutely no reason why try and win games this season, and they should just shut down Kristaps Porzingis for the season and let Allonzo Trier, Frank Ntilikina and Kevin Knox grow through their mistakes.

Tanking is the best way to get top-tier prospects and considering next year’s lack of depth, they can’t risk falling behind in the lottery. They need to focus on having the worst record in the league.

3. Draft Zion Williamson

Zion Williamson is a stud. He’s for real, he’s way more than hype. Williamson has the potential to turn a franchise around, and the New York Knicks need a standout young baller that can lure free agents to the Big Apple.

Williamson is a super athletic freak of nature that can take off really high despite his size and weight. He has a great feel for the game and has a body that’s already ready for the NBA, so that’s another no-brainer.

2. Free Agents

The New York Knicks are in a prime position to sign two of the best free agents in the summer of 2019, as Kemba Walker has been closely tied with a move to the MSG and Kevin Durant would reportedly love to be a Knick.

First, they need to trade Tim Hardaway Jr, and that wouldn’t be a problem because he has a great season so far, averaging 21 points with 3.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.

While Kemba Walker is entering his prime and has been a walking bucket all year long, Kevin Durant is a first ballot Hall of Famer that has the ability to instantly carry that team to the playoffs, especially in the Eastern Conference.

1. Superteam

With a roster like that, the New York Knicks could definitely make a huge splash in the Eastern Conference, balancing youth with proven veterans that could finally put an end to the Knicks long Championship drought. Last time they won the NBA Championship, it was 45 years ago (1973 New York Knicks beat the Los Angeles Lakers 4-1).

They would be the strongest team in the NBA, no doubt. With Kevin Durant and Kemba Walker in their prime, Kristaps Porzingis is only 23 years old and Zion Williamson is the future best player in the league.

This is the perfect plan of the New York Knicks and James Dolan should try everything to get Zion, Durant, and Walker next summer.
