“The Philadelphia 76ers Have The Highest Chance Of Landing James Harden,” Says Brian Windhorst

James Harden has looked good to start the 2020-21 season, averaging 39 points, 12.5 assists, and 5 rebounds on 59.5% shooting through the first two games.

Still, by all accounts, his demand for a trade hasn’t yet wavered and the Rockets find themselves facing increasing pressure to trade him.

According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, it may be a while before Houston pulls the trigger on a deal. And when they do, the Sixers could be the ones to land the Rockets star.

“There have been offers swapped between the teams, and they’re not satisfactory right now. …If I had to make a wager on which team had the most likely chance of landing James Harden, I would say it would be the Sixers eventually.”

So far, Daryl Morey has been reluctant to include Ben Simmons or Joel Embiid in a trade. No doubt, that decision has kept things from moving forward.

But with the season underway, and all eyes on Harden, Philly could warm up to the idea of trading for him, even if it means giving up one of their two core stars.

In any event, the entire NBA is holding their breath on the James Harden sweepstakes. Wherever he lands will have major implications on the race for the title.

For Philadelphia, it could mean pushing them toward their first title win since 1967.
