With the Los Angeles Lakers looking to repeat as NBA Champions, they’ll need strong showings from the supporting cast, which includes backup, fan-favorite point guard, Alex Caruso.

His play on both ends of the floor has been huge for the team, and they’ll be looking to him to provide that much-needed spark off the bench.

Regarding Caruso’s future with the Lakers, the team believes he’ll be with them long-term, thanks to the presence and leadership of one LeBron James.

“Alex Caruso will also become an unrestricted free agent this summer,” wrote Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report. “League executives polled by B/R suggested the point guard could command upwards of $12 million in average annual value, a similar number that restricted free agent Talen Horton-Tucker may also command for an offer sheet. Although there is a sense among Lakers officials that Caruso has relished supporting [LeBron] James and has an interest in staying in Los Angeles to compete alongside the four-time MVP.”

LeBron and Caruso have a pretty strong relationship and seem to have developed effective chemistry together on the basketball court.

Even at 36-years-old, “King” James has a way of making life better for his teammates, and Caruso is no exception.

He’s enjoying every second of the ride and reaping the rewards that come with playing alongside the best player on the planet.
