Tyler Herro has shown a massive improvement in his game this season, and many have touted him as one of the candidates for the Sixth Man of the Year award. Herro is currently averaging 22.1 PPG, 5.6 RPG, and 3.8 APG coming off the bench for the Miami Heat this season.

It is clear that Tyler Herro put in a lot of work to develop his skills, and his offseason grind is paying off immensely this year. Part of the reason for Herro’s improvement is Herro taking the time to study Bradley Beal over the summer. Herro reportedly said that Beal is a “polished version” of the player he wants to be, and stated that he “might as well steal as much” as he can from the three-time All-Star. Melissa Rohlin of Fox Sports reported the news.

Before Hanlen would train Herro at noon in Los Angeles, he’d work out Beal at 10 a.m. Herro asked if he could observe those sessions so he could study the three-time All-Star for the Washington Wizards.

“To me, that was really cool just because he put the ego aside,” Hanlen said. “I think there’s a lot of people that would not have the humility to show up and watch one of his peers work out. But he said, ‘You know what? He is a polished version of what I want to become, so might as well steal as much as I can from him.'”

Tyler Herro has previously claimed that he is on the same level as superstars such as Trae Young and Luka Doncic. While most would agree that he is not quite there yet, it is clear that the gap between him and those players is a lot smaller than it was last year.

The Miami Heat currently look like one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, and Tyler Herro has played a key role in them being able to play at a high level. Hopefully, we see Tyler Herro continue to excel, and his scoring numbers will be around 20 points this sea
