Tyronn Lue and his Los Angeles Clippers earned the respect of the NBA on Friday night after clinching their first Western Conference Finals participation in 50 years. The 2016 NBA champion coach did the job, took down the top-seeded Utah Jazz, making history with the Californians.

It seems like Ty is used to making history, as he ended a 50-year drought just like he did during his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Everybody was in awe of Lue, asking the rest of the league to put some respect on his name after leading his team, without their best player, to beat the best squad in the conference.

The community praised the NBA champion’s work during this series. The Clippers have returned from 0-2 in the first two rounds of competition, demonstrating that they’re not chokers anymore. Richard Jefferson and Shannon Sharpe congratulated the coach for not giving up after being 25 points down, ending the Clippers’ 50-year WCF drought.

Clippers, could’ve easily quit dwn by 25, but they didn’t. Give T.Lou credit for the gr8 coaching job and pushing all the right buttons. Clippers role players were outstanding again.

Eddie Johnson reminded people that Lue had to wait before getting another chance in the league, even after doing incredible things with the Cavaliers.

Ty Lue Resume down 3-1 against Steve Kerr . Down 3-2 to Brad Stevens, Down 0-2 ( home Losses) and 3-2 to Rick Carlisle and down 0-2 then lose Kawhi to injury and beat number 1 seed Jazz 4 straight ! But he had to wait to get a job! Ok! #jazzvsclippers

This man always understands the assignment. He boasts a 12-1 record as a coach when his team has a chance to clinch a series. Sure, you can say he had LeBron James with him in Cleveland, but nobody can take anything away from the 44-year-old.

Tyronn’s not afraid of making adjustments, and he showed that on Friday night, taking his team to a big win to advance to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history.
