NBA Rumors: Veteran Players Could Join The Warriors Next Season

2 Min Read

Per the NBA’s officially restart policy, the Golden State Warriors will not be returning this season. They hold the worst record in the NBA at 15-50 and while part of that is due to several key offseason losses, their misfortunes can largely be attributed to poor health on the part of Steph, Klay, and Draymond Green.

Upon the arrival of the 2020-21 campaign, the Dubs will be ready to go at full-strength — which means they will once again be a team to fear in the West.

Moreover, they may be in a position to bring in some reinforcements this fall, according to Shams Charania.

“Warriors are going to look hard at maybe packaging the pick. You’re looking at a veteran team, and there’s already some veteran free agents that are looking at the Warriors. They’re looking at them gearing up and loading back up”

Over the past five years, the Dubs have been somewhat of a haven for older veteran stars looking for an easy ring. David West, Matt Barnes, Zaza Pachulia, and JaVale McGee are just a few ex-Warriors who fall into that category.

This free-agency will be another opportunity for the Warriors to get some experienced rotation players at a relatively cheap cost.

It also shows how confident players are that this team will get their act together next season. The rest of the NBA should be very scared.
