The fans of the Miami Heat had a watch their team fall to an underwhelming loss to a directionless Bulls squad that is trying to have a resurgence up the table. After not being able to watch their team beat a sub-.500 team at home, the Heat fans entertained themselves by falling for a fake Kanye West and chasing him around the Kaseya Center.

The logic for these fans had to have been insane. Why would Kanye West just be walking around the Heat arena and allowing fans to swarm him in the way that the fake Kanye did? It should have been clear to everyone that the real Kanye wouldn’t just be chilling around the arena. He’s been spotted at NBA games before, so maybe that’s why fans assumed it was him.
Kanye was scheduled to be in Las Vegas for a rave he organized to promote his new album. While the album didn’t drop, people did see Kanye at his rave, so it would be highly implausible for people to think he was hosting a rave in Las Vegas and attending a Miami Heat game at the same time.
The Miami Heat Are Struggling Through A Regular Season Again
The Heat fall out of conversations among the contenders in the NBA every season because of their underwhelming roster and regular season performances. Even though they were the No. 1 seed in 2022, people didn’t take them seriously until they pushed the Celtics to seven games in the Conference Finals.
Last year, there was no reason to have stock in the Heat after they entered the playoffs as an eighth seed. They went on a miraculous run led by Jimmy Butler and made the NBA Finals, becoming only the second eighth seed in NBA history to pull this off. After a summer of seeing top targets go to other teams and Miami being left with nothing, they’ve started the regular season out slow with a record of 14-11.
Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo were both injured and missed their loss to the Bulls last night. Butler has never been one to put up big numbers in the regular season, a pattern we’ve seen develop over the last few years. He’s averaging 21.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists this season. Most people can safely assume his numbers would go up in postseason play, but the Heat need more to contend.
They still have all the assets they didn’t end up moving for Damian Lillard or Jrue Holiday, so it’ll be interesting to see if those come into play around the trade deadline. The Heat have held off on doing moves so far, but if the team keeps sliding down the East, their hand will be forced. At this point, moving off the money they owe Kyle Lowry for a noticeable upgrade would be a blessing for Miami.
