Zion Williamson is, without a doubt, one of the most athletic players in the league, and there is no question that we have seen him do some insane dunks in the past. He’s absolutely dominant when getting to the basket, and it’ll be exciting to see him suit up for the Pelicans again next season.
In a recent video, Zion Williamson was spotted on an outside court, where he did a windmill 360 dunk with ease while wearing street clothes. Hopefully, we see similar dunks when Williamson finishes at the rim on an NBA court when he suits up in the fall.
The New Orleans Pelicans and Zion Williamson recently agreed on a $193 million rookie extension. Despite the constant rumors linking Zion Williamson elsewhere, the young superstar has committed to the team, and it’ll be exciting to see what they can do next season. They have Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum next to Zion Williamson as the No. 2 and No. 3 offensive options. The team also has solid role players to support their core, such as Herb Jones and Jonas Valanciunas.
It is clear that the New Orleans Pelicans have done their best to surround Zion Williamson with a championship-level cast, and we’ll see if he can lead them to the Finals at one point in the future. He has the talent to be a top-10 player in the league in the near future.
The key for Zion Williamson going forward will be his health and durability. The New Orleans Pelicans will need a fully healthy Williamson to make some noise in the Western Conference. He wasn’t able to suit up during the 2021-22 season due to a foot injury. If Zion Williamson does end up staying healthy, this Pelicans team has a high ceiling, and they could be a dangerous team come playoff time.
