The Philadelphia 76ers recently faced off against the Milwaukee Bucks, with the team losing 117-118. Despite the loss, the team still had some bright spots during the game, with one of them being forward Kelly Oubre Jr., who tallied 27 points and 4 rebounds off the bench.

Even amidst his elite performance, Oubre Jr. found a way to share some hilarious banter with a fan who was sitting courtside.

“What you doing? You scamming? How did you get those seats?… Got a friend? Got hooked up right?”

As of right now, it is unclear how Oubre Jr. and the fan got into the situation depicted in the video. Still, the banter seems harmless, and it is definitely a hilarious situation since Oubre Jr. was willing to talk trash while still guarding Bucks superstar Damian Lillard.

Last season with the Charlotte Hornets, Oubre Jr. averaged 20.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game. He was definitely a steal for the 76ers on the veteran minimum, and hopefully, we see Oubre have a good season with the team.

The Philadelphia 76ers Are Still Dealing With James Harden’s Trade Request

It is good to see that Oubre Jr. can provide scoring for the 76ers, as the team is still dealing with James Harden’s trade request as of right now. The star did not play against the Bucks, and it is unclear whether he will in the future. In fact, the 76ers have asked Harden to stay home for the team’s upcoming road trip.

“James Harden returned to Philadelphia on Tuesday night with his bags packed to join the team on the road for Thursday vs. Bucks and Saturday vs. Raptors, but the 76ers have now asked him not to travel with the team.”

This is definitely an interesting situation to continue to monitor. Harden seems to be likely to be traded at one point or another, and it’s certainly an option, given that the team wants him to stay away from the squad currently. However, there is also a chance that he will decide to play out the season with the team, and we’ll see what happens in the future.

Kelly Oubre Jr. Could Help Replace Some Of James Harden’s Offensive Production

It is quite easy to see why the 76ers brought in Kelly Oubre Jr. to the squad. If Harden were to leave, then the team would need some way to replace his offensive production. Oubre Jr. provides the perfect insurance offensively due to his scoring. Though he obviously can’t be the same level of playmaker, Oubre can certainly be a solid scoring option from the bench.

It will be interesting to see what sort of season, Oubre Jr. has this year in Philadelphia. Many thought that he would get more than a veteran minimum contract in free agency, but obviously, that hasn’t been the case.

Next year’s free agency will be an interesting one for Oubre Jr., as it will be his chance to lock in a long-term deal through his prime. Hopefully, he has a productive season, and earns that sort of deal going forward.
