Sometimes, all a team needs is a change of coach to fulfill its potential. It's not that the former coach was bad, it's just like he couldn't bring out the best of his players anymore. The Los Angeles Clippers are a prime example of this.

Doc Rivers and the Clippers needed to part ways after their collapse last season. Both need to grow from each other, and hiring Tyronn Lue was one of the best decisions they could've made.

Lue has been a breath of fresh air for the team on and off the court and he's clearly earned the respect of his players. He holds them accountable but also lauds them and acknowledges his contributions. And when it comes to making adjustments, he's been one of the best.

That's why Patrick Beverley recently compared him to legendary NFL coach Bill Belichick, as Lue has made game-changing adjustments throughout the playoffs:

"We called T-Lue 'Bill Belichick' with all the adjustments he makes," Beverley said, as quoted by The NBA Central.

Even so, Lue still gives his players all the credit. In fact, he called Paul George following their loss in Game 2 just to let him know that they wouldn't be in that position if it wasn't for him, even after he missed two potential game-winning free-throws:

The Clippers have clearly bought in on Tyronn Lue and his tactics. He's in control of the locker room and has already managed to bring them back from a 0-2 deficit twice in this playoffs.

Doing that again vs. a rival like the Phoenix Suns will be an uphill battle, for sure, but when a team plays altogether the way they're playing right now, anything's possible.
