- Dwyane Wade made the HOF Class of 2023
- LeBron James has been showering praises on his former teammate
- The duo won two titles together during their time with the Heat
Dwyane Wade had an emotional, but proud message coming from his former Miami Heat superstar teammate LeBron James ahead of his Hall of Fame induction on Saturday.
Taking to Instagram, James posted a picture of Wade with a no. 23 jersey, and captioned it:
“Today is the official day my brother @dwyanewade goes into the HOF!!!!! WOW WOW WOW, bro!! Man, I can’t say enough how proud and happy I am of/for you. The kid from Robbins, IL now in the HALL!!! You a bad man Trey Ball! SCREAMING ️ ️ ️ ️ ️CONGRATULATIONS ⚡️. Love you kid!! ✊ #WadeCounty⚡️“
This comes on the back of a heartfelt message that the greats of the game shared for Wade on Twitter, with James being one of them.
James and Wade won back-to-back championships with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013. Prior to the now Los Angeles Lakers star’s arrival in Miami, Wade had won a championship in 2006.
Wade enjoyed a decorated career in the NBA that spanned 16 seasons. He was a 16-time All-Star and the league’s scoring champion in 2009.
A consistent performer, Wade averaged 22.0 points per game, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.7 assists. He boasted of an impressive playoff record averaging 22.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game.
Now, it’s only right that the accolades continue to pour in for Wade, and James, a future HOF player himself, just made the occasion extra special.
Dwyane Wade Will Go Down In History As One Of Miami Heat’s Finest
In a time where Michael Jordan and LeBron James are constantly spoken of as the greatest players of our generations, there are players like Wade who has been remembered as the greatest franchise player for Miami.
According to Heat President Pat Riley himself, Wade is the greatest Heat player ever just based on his monumental achievements: “
Dwyane is the greatest player who ever played for the Heat,” said Riley. “That’s not an insult to LeBron, that’s because of his longevity and the short term that LeBron was here.”
Wade gave everything and beyond to Miami, and it resulted in some amazing times for the franchise as they won three titles during his time wth the side.
And on his part, James is making sure he is backing his friend and brother for all his contributions to the team.
