AC Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has charged against LeBron James again, urging him to stick to sports and get out of political issues. The Swedish soccer player raised a lot of eyebrows around the NBA when he said that athletes like the King should stay out of politics and leave those matters to politicians.
As expected, LeBron didn’t like those comments and he fired back, reminding Zlatan of the time he protested against racism in his country, calling him a hypocrite for wanting to shut him while he used his platform to talk against the injustices he lived.
“It’s funny he said that, because I believe in 2018 he was the same guy who said when he was bad in Sweden, he was talking about the same things, because his last name wasn’t a certain last name, he felt like there was racism going on when he was out on the pitch.”
This wasn’t the end of the story and Zlatan responded to LeBron, reaffirming his comments and explaining that sports unite the world while politicians and all their decisions create division among people.
“Athletes unite the world, politics divide it,” the 39-year-old said. “Our role is to unite the world by doing what we do best. Athletes should be athletes and politicians should do politics.”

This situation has created plenty of debates around the league and people have defended LeBron for his stance on this topic. Love him or hate him, you can’t deny he has helped a lot of people during his successful career. He won’t stop doing that and he won’t stop talking against injustices.
