In a chat with the media, Kyrie Irving made it abundantly clear that he felt the Nets needed “one or two” more pieces to be true Championship contenders. Whether true or not, the comment drew a lot of criticism for it being Irving’s way of throwing his teammates under the bus.
When presented with the same opportunity, LeBron James did not make the same mistake. At 36-9 on the season, James shared that he believes his team has enough to win the title this year.

With LeBron, Anthony Davis, Danny Green, and Kyle Kuzma, the Lakers have a core that most teams would kill for.
But there are still questions their chances to beat out teams like the Clippers, Bucks, Nuggets, and Rockets. Do the Lakers have enough fire-power to get threw them all? Will they be healthy enough when the time comes?
Despite the looming questions, James is showing strong confidence in his squad and their ability to make history this summer. We will see how much they are able to deliver on that faith.
