Rudy Gobert was the first NBA player to test positive with COVID-19, but he definitely wasn’t the last. in the days and weeks following his diagnosis, many players on multiple different teams were tested and confirmed to be infected.

Even as the NBA begins the process of reopening, the threat of Coronavirus continues to loom, especially in Denver.

After video surfaced online of Nuggets star Nikola Jokic sharing the court with Nikola Jankovic, a center for KK Partizan who recently tested positive for COVID, there is fear within the community that Nikola may have been exposed.

Nuggets all-star center Nikola Jokic may have been exposed to someone who tested positive for coronavirus during a recent visit to his native Serbia.

Pictures show Jokic in close proximity to Nikola Jankovic, a center for KK Partizan, during last Thursday’s exhibition game honoring coach Dejan Milojevic in Belgrade. On Monday, Jankovic’s professional team announced he had tested positive for the virus.

No word yet on if Jokic himself has the virus, or if he’s even been tested. Obviously, the NB Ais likely to test all players before the season resume next month, but this incident with Jokic proves this whole situation is far from over.

COVID-19 is still an active threat and whatever plans the NBA has to return may have to be halted if things get worse. We will continue to provide updates on Nikola’s situation and the state of the 2019-20 season as more information becomes available.
